Huge Update to Google Maps Street View

Google Map's Street View turns one today and in celebration Google have released street view for an amazing 37 new cities. The new cities include:

* MA: Springfield
* NY: Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse
* NJ: Newark
* VA: Virginia Beach
* NC: Charlotte, Winston-Salem
* SC: Columbia, Greenville
* GA: Atlanta
* FL: Boca Raton, Cape Coral, Ft. Lauderdale, Jacksonville, Sarasota, West Palm Beach
* AL: Huntsville
* MS: Jackson
* TN: Knoxville
* KY: Lexington, Louisville
* OH: Cincinnati, Columbus, Dayton, Toledo
* MI: Ann Arbor
* MO: St. Louis
* KS: Topeka
* NE: Lincoln
* OK: Oklahoma City, Tulsa
* NV: Reno
* CA: Bakersfield, Fresno, Sacramento, Stockton

Here is an example of street view - I think this view might be in Reno:

Google have also updated imagery in many of the cities previously covered. This means that many of the images in the sites that are compiling street view galleries will have changed.

Srsly I lived in MA for 24 years and never set foot in Springfield. How does Springfield get above Seattle on Street View's list?

What happened ?!! With this June-10th update all hi-res pictures of Chicago are gone and on top of this many street views are missing !!! Go check it out ! All I could see were pretty bad quality low-res images. Is that called a HUGE update ??? I hope that they are just in some kind of “transitional state” and will fix it soon. Otherwise I really can’t get it. What was the point?

Columbia, SC has Lexington 29072 included! Yeah! Now how do I update my embedded Google Maps to have them show the street view??? Need some help.

Salim,

I don't think embedded Google Maps come with street view but if you open a street view in Google Maps and then click on the 'link to this page' link you can then embed the street view without the map.

Otherwise you will have to use the Google Maps API

Thanks Keir. Embedding just the street view will work for now so I don't have to spend the time the api would require of me. I appreciate your help.
