Google provides an update on New Orleans imagery

Google's John Hanke has posted to The Official Google Blog to help people understand the situation surrounding the satellite imagery for New Orleans, LA, USA and to also provide an update on new imagery that is now available as of yesterday evening.

It's rather amazing that no one noticed the change in imagery before now, if they've been up since Sept 2006.

Probably because the people that really care are busy trying to rebuild a city with very little help from government at any level. It doesn't leave a lot of time to play on google.
