Google Maps Creation Tools and Resources - Part 9

I'm back with Part 9 of the Creation and Viewing Tools post series. It's amazing how popular these are. I've been gathering these links for several weeks and have assembled them by category below. For those of you new to the Google Maps mashup world you might find the first set of links interesting. They will allow you to build your own mashup. Check the links at the very bottom of this post for more! Enjoy! :)

Anyone know a source for coordinates for drawing rivers via polylines?

Visokio FeatureFinder 1.3 should be on your list of tools...it is the easiest way for non-programmers to create and maintain interactive filterable geo-mashups as single .swf files (we call them DataPlayers). Contact me if you would like a trial key.

Here is a link to an example anyone can do...

The free map icons by terra IMS were yanked. Their dynamic icon generator looks cool, but the license terms mandate a link to their site on my main page. Ain't gonna happen.

Yeah. Checked it out. I want it!!!

I don't mind the link, but I checked with them about the requirement just to be sure.

It seems that they are willing to sell another kind of subscription to the generator that does not have the link requirement...however, I am not sure how much that subscription costs.

They said they would have info on their site soon...

You might find this helpful as an additonal link (or not):

Google Maps Bookmarklet Generator

Basically, you enter your address (or a similar one), and it generates a bookmarklet that you can use. After that, just select any address (multi-line or not) on any page, load the bookmark, and you pretty much get instant directions from your house. :)
