Could it be Google Real Estate?

Steve Rubel over on Micropersuasion credits Simon Shandler for finding what looks like a Google real estate app. This link takes you to a very rough version of a New York City real estate map. The listings are fictitious and the labels are incomplete but the site does look like someone has been playing with it. The page is built using the Google Maps API and mashes up data from Google Base. I've also stumbled across one that resembles a job search app as well. Stay tuned!

have you seen www.housingmaps.com ? It's similar but mashes with craigslist instead of googlebase.

I'm kind of trying to do it using all open source software and google maps API.

Google Base has worked like this from day one with property and jobs. This page isn't new ...

I wondered if that might be the case. I've played with Google Base a bit and it seemed to be something that could be built using that. Do you think it's a Google-created page or a page created by a Base user? If it's Google, they may be preparing to tell people that Google Base can be used as the database by which to facilitate mashups with a few samples? Just a thought.

Google Hired the guy who created housingmaps using craiglist and the Google maps api. Now they have come up with something similar using google base.

Hi!

Great site. I have a blog I've started on Real Estate, Technology and Marketing. I'm focusing on Web 2.0 applications, but there will be a
lot about relevant technologies.

Thanks,
Darren
