Power Map: Google Maps on steroids

Rupert Scammell has created - Power Maps "Google Maps taken to the next level". Rupert's goal in creating Power Maps was to enhance how people use the Google Maps application and "provide a web based interface to as much of the underlying Google Maps API as possible, as well as adding other neat features, such as distance measurement and movement tracking." The result, he explains, does equal some pretty terse and short descriptions of each feature but if you play around with the Power Maps interface you'll soon learn what each function will do for you. If you're a power Google Maps user then Power Maps is for you!

Hi there,
I'm the developer of Power Map. Thanks for the link, and I'm delighted that you found it to be an interesting and (perhaps useful) hack. One of the major deficiencies of the tool at the present time is the inability to save and share the markup and settings within a Power Map session. I'm midway through developing these features at the time of writing, so please come back and visit the page soon to try out these new features!

Comments, feature requests, and constructive criticism for improvement are always most welcome, and can be sent to me at rupe@sbcglobal.net

Happy mapping,

--- Rupert
