WorldUsabilityDay.org Google Maps world events

World Usability Day which will be observed on November 3rd, 2005 has made use of Google Maps to display the world events which are taking place on this day:



About World Usability Day: World Usability Day promotes the value of usability engineering, user-centered design,and every user's responsibility to ask for things that work better. The Usabililty Professionals' Association is doing that by encouraging, organizing, and sponsoring 36 hours of activities at the local level around the globe, all occurring on November 3, 2005.

On October 24, we reimplmented the map to make it faster. As we added more and more events, the library we were using kept taking longer and longer to draw the map - not usable on dial-up connections, especially with IE. Anyway, here is the new and improved map.
