Sydney, Australia Climbing Map

Here is a Google Maps mashup with SydneyClimbing.com's database of climbing locations. The map features locations for good climbing spots and also presents pin markers that display current weather conditions from Yahoo! Weather for the various climbing regions, as well as location downloads for Google Earth as well.. Check it out!

The following note from this mashup is a prelude of the Google Maps mashup explosion set to hit once Google releases street mapping data for Aussie:

"Note: Google doesn't provide street information for Australia yet, so the Map and Hybrid buttons won't do anything useful. Because of the way Google Maps works however, once Sydney street information is available those features should start working automatically."

I found this other site that maps unique event venues across the United States. As an example the following link shows museums in NYC that are capable of hosting corporate/private events.

Eventective.com

They also map hotels, convention centers, restaurants, outdoor venues, etc.

Very good source of info for climbers around Sydney...if any of your visitors are interested, I'm putting together a blog of Australian climbing history at http//:climbinghistoryoz.blogspot.com...please have a look and let me know what you think. Lots about early NSW climbing there...
