HomeSale Prices + Google Maps = HomePriceMaps.com

Jan.11/06: Corrected this post (Removed references to Yahoo! Real Estate)

Here is a new Google Maps Real Estate mashup to add to the mix: HomePriceMaps.com. HomePriceMaps is a "freely browsable database of homesale prices" in places like New York, Philadelphia, Hawaii, Miami and more. It is a mashup of home sale price data integrated with Google Maps.

Take a look:

(**I have noticed that with Firefox 1.0.7 this mashup bogs my browser down a bit. I might suggest viewing and using this mashup using a recent version of Microsoft Internet Explorer instead of Firefox)

Google Maps Mania has an index of many more Google Maps Housing & Real Estate mashups found here.

cribseek is nice but it only has data for NY, NJ and Connecticut whereas Homepricemaps appears to have many other locations and according to city.

agree more importantly the purpose for both sites are different. homepricemap is for sales prices.

cribseek is for for sale listings

i have updated http://www.HomePriceMaps.com

it now has a zipcode search and loads real fast as a result of implementing a simple function to only return markers found within 1 mile of a user inputed zipcode.

HomePriceMaps.com has expanded its features to include zipcode search and has udpated its "Info Windows" to include localized links listing homes for sale, mortgage quotes and realtor listings in the area. Finally, we have redone how we load data markers to speed up performance times.

http://www.HomePriceMaps.com now allows user to look up home price sales based on a city name and we also have added a sidebar to make things easier to see.

we are adding data as quickly as possible but if we get a request saying "please add data for this ZIP or this CITY" we'll do that first.

Counsel from elders seems to be a lost treasure. Lost are lessons learned that may contain pearls of wisdom that could have benefited the seeker. Having survived my share of hazardous crossings, I am pleased to be able to share a thought or two. The main lesson is to keep on learning. Read and seek out other points of view like visiting your blog. Finding what is ultimately important has lead me to appreciate actuality, efficiency and mindfulness. Helping others to see some of the forest through the trees is a rewarding benefit of age and maturity. happy thought lifestyles
