Google Maps mashup provides instant business intelligence

US Demographic Information + Geocoding mashup

One month I ago I told you about a great new mashup that integrates Google Maps and the U.S. 2000 Census Report. I told you how the mashup displays census information for any 1, 3 or 5 mile radius for any place on the map you click on.

This Google Maps tool has just gotten better by adding a geocoding function that allows you to now find instant business intelligence for any business address in the U.S. - Try it out with your business address or enter this one for Bravo One Pizza in Detroit, Michigan to see its functionality:
17031 West Warren Avenue
Detroit, MI

Here is a census-based [s]mashup I developed -- running an old version of Maptitude for the Web on the back-end.

It shows how a traditional web-based mapping tool can plug in to a Google map interface, using unsophisticated programming techniques.
