2 new Google Maps mashups!

World Earthquakes - http://www.speakeasy.org/~endico/maps/usgs.html - I've linked to a few earthquake mashups but this one betters most I've seen. Dawn Endico has organized earthquakes that have taken place in the last week (greater than 2.5) and displays them by region in a tab-view. Very nice layout. [via]
(You need to cut/paste the above URL since the "~" symbol doesn't translate well for everyone when placed as a link. If it's wrong the Google Maps API doesn't recognize the location and it won't work)

Recent Washington Post stories - GeoWorldNews is an masher of recent Washington Post news stories overlaid on Google Maps. [via]

bad key on first link.

The url my key is registered to contains a tilde but the link here uses "%7" which doesn't match the api key. I could change the key but then that would break links from the api group.

Could you change the link in the post? Pretty please?

Try using this link instead.

Thanks for changing the link.

Here are a couple of other interesting views. The first shows a cluster of quakes at Mount St. Helens and the other spot shows a cluster in Montana outside of Yellowstone. I wonder if so many quakes so close to each other indicates an upcoming eruption. (I'm not a geologist nor do I play one on tv).
